Obituary Online notes for “Rudy” Edward Rudolph WEBB
Edward Rudolph "Rudy" Webb, 88, of Duluth, formerly of Deerfield Township, died peacefully Oct. 16, 2010, at his home at Lakeshore Assisted Living on the shores of Lake Superior from congestive heart failure. He was born Aug. 16, 1922, near Grovespring, Mo., in Wright County to Elbridge and Nora (Ada McKeel) Webb.

On Oct. 20, 1942, he was united in marriage to Frances Elizabeth Condon at Corpus Christi Church in Deerfield Township. They started out their life together farming, and in April of 1956 they moved to Northern Minnesota, where he started working for Oliver Iron Mining in Virginia. His 30-year career in the mining industry included the Pioneer underground mine in Ely. He retired from Minntac in Mountain Iron in August of 1986. He enjoyed fishing, but his lifelong joy was taking rides around the countryside and visiting with relatives and friends. Spending time with family and friends were his most treasured memories and sharing stories from years gone by would always bring a smile and a sparkle to his eyes.

Edward is survived by his son, John; daughter, Alice (John) Buria; grandchildren: Michelle Buria (Dave Lambert), Chris Buria; one great-granddaughter; brother, Clifford Webb; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; parents, Elbridge and Nora (Ada) Webb; sister, Veda Fisher; three brothers, Merlyn, Wayne and Raymond Webb.

Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery in Medford.
470, Edward Rudolph “Rudy” Webb
