Obituary Online notes for Lillian GILMORE
Lillian Rader

"If I keep a green bow in my heart, the singing bird will come." Lillian Rader died on Saturday, April 24, 2010, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming.

She and her late husband, Luther Rader, were charter members of Faith Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri, and Lillian also enjoyed attending services and Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church of Sheridan. She was a lover of God, of literature, and most of all, her family. She was known for baking the best cookies in the world, for her expert sewing abilities, for sending notes of encouragement, and for being the best wife, sister, mom and Nana that anyone could ask for! Her explosive laughter and choice wit will be missed by many.

She was born December 23, 1919, and made her residence in Springfield, where she and her husband, Luther Rader, lived together for 55 years. When Luther passed away in 1999, Lillian made her residence in Sheridan. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband; her mother, Nora Gilmore; her father, Robert Gilmore; her sister, Margaret Gilmore; and her brother, Paul Gilmore.

She is survived by her sisters, Iva June Hamilton and Bobbie Brautigam of Springfield; her son, Mike Rader, of Bloomington Minn.; her daughter, Pat Brackley of Sheridan; and her two granddaughters, Laura and Melissa Brackley of Sheridan. They will all remember her feisty spirit.

A graveside service will be held in Eastlawn Cemetery in Springfield, Friday, April 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1517 E. Valley Water Mill Road, Springfield MO 65803. 470, Lillian Gilmore Rader
