Cornelious E. "Buddy” Croy, Sr., 78 of 47 Old Athens Rd. in Princeton died Friday, October 29, 2010, at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born in Princeton October 6, 1932 he was the son of the late Robert Dawson and Stella Kate Stafford Croy.

Buddy retired from West Virginia Pipeline after 35 years of service.

He attended the First Assembly of God Church. He especially loved his work and his family and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parent&s two sons, Ernest Lee Croy and Cornelious Edward Croy, Jr.; one brother, Junior Croy and one sister, Dorothy Honaker preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Elizabeth Wiles Croy, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage with on Thursday, October 28, 2010.one son, Stephen David Croy and his wife Shan Michelle of Princeton;; six grandchildren, Laken Jade Croy, April Billips, Steven Edward Croy, Jonathan Lee Croy, Andrew Croy and Jason Croy; two step-grandchildren, Lucas Gaye and Kassie Gaye; eight great-grandchildren, Alex Billips, Tori Billips, Emma Croy, Noah Croy, Laken Croy, Tiffany Croy, Zachary Croy and Madison Croy; three brothers, Charles Croy and his wife Elsie, David Croy and his wife Patty and Bill Croy all of Princeton; three sisters, Gypsie Fuller, Danese Barton and her husband Thomas and Betty Cockerham and her husband Dana all of Princeton and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes the body has been cremated. Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 P.M. Monday, November 1, 2010, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with his grandsons, Pastor Jason Croy and Pastor Andrew Croy officiating. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.
