BURLINGTON - Robert Keith Allison, Sr., 63, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Alamance County on October 26, 1954 to the late Lacy Alton Allison and Lula Mae Hayes Allison Ruskus. He was the husband to Sandra Kay Welty Allison of 45 years who survives.
Robert was a self-employed carpenter and was a US Marine Corp veteran.
Survivors other than his wife, Sandra, include his son, Robert Keith Allison, Jr. and wife, Martha; daughter, Amy Lynn Allison and Johnny Hayes; grandchildren, Ashley, Keith III, Jasper, Isaiah, Hayden, KayLee, Jayden, Jace, Keilynn and Noah; great granddaughter, Arabella; brothers, Terry Allison and wife, Susan, Roger Allison and wife, Jean, and Dean Mashburn; sister, Tammy Mashburn Minnick. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lila Allison Christopher.
