Mr. John Lee Reid Sr.
GIBSONVILLE — Mr. John Lee Reid Sr., 82, of 4865 N.C. 87 North, died at 8:04 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Sunrise Care for Reidsville after a critical illness of three weeks.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Lucille Faucette Reid and the son of Mr. John Nathaniel
Reid and Mrs. Esther Lewis Reid, both deceased. He was a dairy farmer in the Shiloh community and a bulldozer operator.
He was a member of the Western Alamance Farmers Club and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shellman (Nancy) Green of Elon College; a son, Mr. John Lee Reid Jr. of the home; a
sister, Miss Edna Reid of Twin Lakes Retirement Center in Burlington; a grandchild; and a step-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. William Nathaniel Reid.
The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening and in the church fellowship hall following the service, and
at other times at the home.
