January 5, 1938 ~ January 19, 2022 (age 84)
Mary Emogene Faucette, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Twin Lakes after two weeks of rapidly failing health.
She was born on January 5, 1938 in Alamance County to the late Lewis Henry Faucette, Sr. and Florence Beckom Faucette.
She retired after 45 years with Glen Raven, Inc., and was a member of the former Bethel United Methodist Church in Burlington, where she held several positions as Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer and was a member of the cemetery committee. Emogene enjoyed researching her family history and was instrumental in planning the Beckom Family Reunions.
Emogene is survived by her nieces and nephews, Nancy Reid Green, Melissa “Missy” Wood, John Lee Reid, Jr., Sandra Faucette and husband David Capps, and Mark Faucette;
great niece and nephews, Susan Hollowell and husband Pete, Doug Wood, Jeff Wood and wife Sarahjane, Davis Faucette, Alex Faucette and Melissa Gibson and husband Brian;
great great nieces and nephew, Maggie Gibson, Theo Wood and Cece Wood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lucille Reid; a brother, Lewis Henry “L.H.” Faucette, Jr.; nephews, Elliot W. Faucette and Shellman Green; sister-in-law, Betty Faucette and a brother-in-law, John L. Reid, Sr.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, January 24, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Holly Lux-Sullivan with the burial to follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:45pm Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
