Miss Frances Elizabeth Simpson
ELON — Miss Frances Elizabeth Simpson , 90, formerly of Altamahaw Race Track Road, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Alamance Health Care, after several years of failing health.
She was the daughter of the late John Bruce and Mamie Gwyn Simpson . Frances was born in Alamance County.
She retired from Glen Raven Mills and also worked part time at Belks and was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was an avid seamstress and craft person.
Survivors include her sister, Virginia S. Brown of Gibsonville; a sister-in-law, Louise Simpson ; nieces, Carol Chrismon, Charlotte Siler; nephews, Johnny Brown, Rickey Brown; several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Edward Simpson .
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. Dave Gilbert. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., and at other times at the home of her sister, Virginia Brown, 7927 Troxler Mill Road, Gibsonville.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church, 3625 Altamahaw Church St., Elon, N.C. 27244.
