Max Reginald McKinney, Sr, 82, formerly of NC 150 in Reidsville, died Saturday (Nov. 19, 2011) in Bakersville NC at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, with whom he had made his home since 2008.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00PM Tuesday (Nov. 22, 2011) in Greenview Cemetery.
A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Zack J. and Nancy Hall McKinney and he had lived in the Williamsburg Community most of his life. He was a retired Lieutenant with the N.C. Dept. of Corrections, a member of Lowes United Meth. Church and a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Reginald was preceded in death by his wife: Frances Daniels McKinney.
Surviving are sons: Max R. McKinney Jr. and wife: Vickie of Reidsville, Tom Norman & Ron Redmon of Hendersonville. daughter: Beth M. Hall and husband: John of Bakersville. brother: Hollis "Gick" McKinney of Reidsville. grandchildren:
Nathan Hall (Melissa), Megan H. McKinney (Cody), & Mandy M. Schwarz (Chris); great grandchildren: Rindie Carter, Chloe Carter, Arthur Hall, Nora Frances Hall, Mia Schwarz, & Ava Victoria Schwarz.
The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00Pm Monday (Nov,. 21, 2011) at Citty Funeral Home and at other times, they will be at the home of his son: Max McKinney Jr. 2507 Ashcroft Dr. Reidsville, NC 27320.
