Terry Dwight McKinney, 61, of 304 N. Mendenhall St Greensboro, died Sunday (January 6, 2013) at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Born in Burlington on November 9, 1951 to the late Lee and Eva McKinney, he is survived by his Brother: Lee R. McKinney and wife Linda of Summerfield, Sister: Grey M. Pegram and husband Chester of Brown Summit, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Also, numerous extended family and friends in Greensboro. An entrepreneur, Mr. McKinney was owner/operator of McKinney Ink and a graduate of Reidsville Sr. High School, he attended RCC, and was a 1974 graduate of UNCG with a BFA degree in arts.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday (Jan. 12, 2013) 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held. Memorials may be made to: Susie's Fund at Guilford Co. Animal Shelter P.O. Box 8 Jamestown, NC 27282 or Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund c/o Wilson Pruitt.
