Haywood Franklin Ferguson, 91, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Beacon Place in Greensboro, NC.

Graveside services were conducted at 2:00 P.M on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Greenview Cemetery.
A native of Rockingham County, Haywood was a son of the late William L. and May Spearman Ferguson, and had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. He was a retired tobacco inspector for the US Department of Agriculture and attended Lowe’s United Methodist Church. Haywood loved growing vegetables and was well-known for his delicious tomatoes. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Canady Ferguson; brothers: Harry Ferguson, Earl Ferguson, Paul Ferguson, Watson Ferguson, and William Ferguson; and sisters: Ruth Ferguson, Margie Clemmons, Irene Phillips, Janie Perkins, and Elnora McKinney.

Haywood is survived by his daughter: Denise Ferguson of Reidsville; son: Philip Franklin Ferguson of Reidsville; grandsons: Wayne Griffin, Jr. and wife Lynda of Leesburg, VA, Philip F. Ferguson, Jr. of Reidsville, and eight great grandchildren.
