Obituary Online notes for Margie Burke FERGUSON
GREENSBORO— Mrs. Margie Ferguson Clemmons, 75, of 803 Simpson Street, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Clemmons at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Green Hill Cemetery.
Margie Clemmons was born on Aug. 4, 1929, in Reidsville, to the late William Lee and May Spearman Ferguson. She was a 1951 graduate of Women's College, now UNCG and had lived for a number of years in Black Mountain. Mrs. Clemmons was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She was an avid golfer who won many awards and loved flowers and gardening.
Survivors include a sister, Miss Ruth Ferguson of Reidsville; brother Haywood Ferguson of Reidsville; brother-in-law John H. Clemmons and sister-in-law Betty Compton, both of Greensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Clemmons was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Roy S. Clemmons.
The family will greet people following the service on Saturday.
Forbis and Dick North Elm Street is serving the Clemmons family.
