Annie Hughes Harrison


ALTAMAHAW -– Annie Hughes Harrison, 94 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
She was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie Benson and Jenny Ann Frye Hughes. She was the wife of the late Everette Lee Harrison.
Annie Retired from Burlington Industries. She and her husband operated the Altamahaw Grocery and Grill from 1974-1982. She most recently worked at Hardees in Glen Raven. Annie was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church for over 60 years and a member of Sunday School Class # 205. She sang in the church choir for many years and also was a recording secretary of the church in the past. Annie enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and baking for family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Annie is survived by her daughters, Fonda H. McKinney of Burlington and Pattie H. Mansfield of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Brandon (Lori) Roney, Brent McKinney, Chris (Tina) Mansfield, Ashley (Steven) Faucette, Julie (Rusty) Litten and Bill (Hope) Phillips, Jr.; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Mc-Dowell of Booneville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; son, Billy G. Phillips, Sr.; one sister and eight brothers and two infant brothers.
The funeral will be held 2:00pm Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45pm to 1:45pm Sunday prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. *The family request that everyone use appropriate social distancing for the welfare of those in attendance.
