Wade Carter Braxton, 85, of Elon passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Friday, January 13, 2023 following several years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, he was born on January 12, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Anderson Braxton of Elon. He retired from the textile industry and enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family, riding on his tractor or driving his truck.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children; sons, Anderson Wade Braxton and wife Nicole of Elon; Bill Phillips and wife Hope of Mebane, and daughter, Julie Litten and husband Rusty of Elon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Jimmy Braxton, David Braxton and wife Nancy, Earl Braxton and wife Patty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perlemon Stuart Braxton and Mattie Mae Coble Braxton, along with his brother, Dan Braxton.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
The family will have a burial service at Alamance Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 17 at 11:00 am.
