OBITUARY: MINNIE BELLE (SHELTON) BOONE
Southwest American, Fort Smith, Arkansas, Saturday, 24 February 1945

"Funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Belle Boone, 62 years old, who died early Friday at her home at Hackett, Ark., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hackett Baptist Church. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Hackett under direction of the Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alta Rayburn of Muskogee, Okla., Mrs. Marie Newton of Poteau, Okla., and Mrs. Beatrice Williams, Ferndale, Mich., four sons, Earl Boone of Long Beach, Calif., Grannville Boone of Ft. Smith, Hershall Boone of Greenwood, Ark. And Orville Boone of Hackett; two brothers, Alf Shelton of Hackett and Carl Shelton of Muskogee; three sisters, Mrs. Lilly Williamson of Greenwood, Mrs. Tenney Davis of Lubbock, Texas and Mrs. Josie Bolinger of Kingston, Okla."
