     Mrs. Martha Sue Truitt Ragan, age 69, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Guilford Healthcare Center after several months of failing health.

       A native of Alamance County she was the daughter of the late Walter Jack Truitt and the late Ollie Edmonds Truitt and was married for over 29 years to Joseph Wayne Ragan, who survives. 

She was formerly employed with Anadeen Hosiery and Gold Toe and lastly with Trenna’s Trinkets.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and shopping.
 
     Mrs. Ragan is survived by her husband of the home; her daughter, Trenna (Chris) Rogers; step daughters, Tammy (Dwayne) Moize, Tina (Jan) Vandemeer, April Ragan and Crystal Ragan; six grandchildren, Cody (Lizzie) Moize, Ian, Ethan and Evelyn Vandemeer and Cole and London Rogers; three brothers, Curtis, Clyde and Doug Truitt; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Betty Cox, Virginia Satterfield and Sarah Garrison; and three brothers, Bobby, Buck and Tommy Truitt.

       The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Craig Cox.  Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:45 AM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
      The family would like to extend a special thanks to her neighbors, Deanna Hayes and Jennifer Triolo, along with the staffs of ARMC, Liberty Commons and Guilford Healthcare for their loving and thoughtful care of Mrs. Ragan during her illness.
        In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthroCare Collective, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
