GRAHAM - Mary Jordan Riddle, 97, of Burlington passed away at 7:15 am on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Liberty Commons.
Mary was a friend to everyone and loved her family very much. She was a caregiver to all as long as her health allowed.
She was born December 27, 1920 in Guilford County to the late June I. Jordan and the late Daisy Jordan. Mary was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Graham Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son, Larry W. Jordan of Burlington; two grandsons, Wayne I. Jordan and his wife Sara of Chapel Hill and Christopher H. Jordan and his wife Tricia of Neptune, NJ; two great-grandsons, Patrick H. Jordan and Luke J. Jordan, both of Neptune, NJ; one sister, Callie Stanley of Pleasant Garden; and several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bessie Shipman, Ruby Estridge and Edna Presnell and three brothers, Junior Jordan, Arnold Jordan and Robert Jordan.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Rich and Thompson Chapel, Graham, NC. Officiating will be Dr. Steve Braswell. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service and at other times they will be at the residence of her son, Larry. Burial will follow the service in Graham Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graham Presbyterian Church, 216 West Hardin Street, Graham, NC 27253 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
