Mrs. Margie Hedrick Hamm, 85, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Moses Cone Palliative Care.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11 at Moriah United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hamm was born on February 27, 1927 in Guilford County. She was an active member of Moriah United Methodist Church, Friendly Bible Class and The Alpha Circle. Margie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Paul Hamm; parents, Roy and Ada Branson Hedrick; brothers, William, Fletcher, Olen and Tom Hedrick, and sister, Rosie Porter.
Survivors include daughter, Libby Lemons (Steve); brothers, Howard, Thurman and Grady Hedrick; sisters, Grace Finch, Lillie Southern and Polly Brewer; grandchildren, Brad Lemons (Tammy), Kelly Brown (Jamie), and great-grandchildren, Brendon Brown, Haley Brown and Austin Lemons.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Moriah United Methodist Church, 3611 Liberty Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406, or to the charity of one's choice.
