Mrs. Jean Riggsbee Hensley, 65, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Liberty Commons in Burlington. Born in Durham County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Larry H. and Bobbie Poe Riggsbee. Jean was a devoted wife and always put her family above herself.
She enjoyed her time getting to look after her great nieces and nephews. She loved to go shopping at all kinds of special little places and she always looked forward to her beach trips with her family.
Survivors include her husband Steven Wade Hensley; step daughter, Stephanie Byrd; brother, Larry Riggsbee; nephews, Adam Riggsbee and wife Ashley and Robbie Hensley and wife Jennifer; niece Ashley Cress and husband Brandon.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday October 15, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the Pastor Garry Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until service time prior at the funeral home and other times at. the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross-Way Church at 3647 Altamahaw Church St. Elon, NC 27244. 3, Jean Riggsbee Hensley
