BURLINGTON - Eva “Gail” Taylor, 80, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Liberty Commons of Alamance. Gail was born on May 3, 1938 in Alamance County to the late Robert Russell Taylor and Daisy Pender Taylor.
Gail worked for banks and accounting firms throughout her career, retiring from SunTrust Bank in Durham. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a member of Horton Road Freewill Baptist Church in Durham.
Gail is survived by her siblings, Faye Taylor Alcon, Robert (Wilma) Taylor, Laura Taylor (Herman) Forbes and Keith Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Dolly Parker and Ann Jones.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Harry Brown and Rev. Dave Winstead with the burial to follow at Carolina Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:45pm Saturday prior to the service.
