BURLINGTON - Gloria Hicks Foster Huff, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Liberty Commons. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late John Arbert and Leona Fulcher Hicks. She was the wife of 36 years to James Russell Huff who survives.
Gloria was employed for over 30 years with Carolina Biological. She was a 1964 graduate of Western Alamance High School. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Huff of the home; son, Brian Foster and his girlfriend, Nicole Briones; step children, Harold Huff and wife, Melinda, Teresa Wade, Deborah Walker and husband, Tim and Ricky Huff; grandchildren, Delaney and Dylan Foster; step-grandchildren, Austin Mabrey, Holden Walker, Amber Huff, Amanda Huff, William Huff, Christopher Wade, Shannon Wade, Anthony Wade, Sydnie Huff, Nicholas Huff and Madison Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angie Foster; granddaughter, Taylor Foster; sisters, Margie McKinney, Inez Aldridge, Nellie Dameron and infant sister, Joan Jeanette Hicks; brothers, James A. Hicks, Arbert Hicks, Jr. and Calvin Hicks.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gerald M. Sanders. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
