Obituary Online notes for Carl Turner PRITCHETT
Mr. Carl Turner Pritchett, 78, of 1812 N. Elm St. died Thursday, July 20, 1995, at his residence.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Julie Peoples officiating and interment to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. tonight at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home.
Born in Alamance County on Oct. 30, 1916, Mr. Pritchett was the son of the late Edgar Wills Pritchett and Margaret Hughey Pritchett. He was a retired accountant with Burlington Industries, a member of Congregational United Church of Christ, where he served as a member of the finance committee and church treasurer. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, where he served on the house and grounds committee and the finance committee. Mr. Pritchett was a member of the Hamilton Lakes Lions Club and w as a graduate of Elon College.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Bowland Pritchett of the home; son, Clyde Pritchett of the home; daughter, Gladys Pickell and son-in-law, Ted Pickell of Reidsville; sisters, Mary Pritchett of Elon College and Margaret Hightower of Greenville, Miss.; brothers, George Pritchett of Elon College and James Pritchett of Albany, Ga.; twin grandsons, Cody Pickell and Ben Pickell, both of Reidsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Congregational United Church of Christ Sanctuary Enhancement Fund, 400 Radiance Dr., Greensboro, N.C. 27403; or to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
Forbis and Dick North Elm Street is serving the family of Mr. Pritchett.
