Peggy O'Connell Wilson, 87, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at her residence at River Landing at Sandy Ridge.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012 at River Landing at Sandy Ridge in Colfax. Interment will be held prior to the service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro.
Peggy was born in Greensboro on January 26, 1925 to the late Fred Moore and Ozama Murr O'Connell. Mrs. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Greensboro where she graduated from Greensboro Senior High School as well as Women's College. Peggy retired from Wysong & Myles Company. She was very active in the community where she was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and active in the Greensboro Historical Museum, Jr. League of Greensboro, Board of Trustees of The Presbyterian Home of High Point and River Landing at Sandy Ridge.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, William Maxwell Wilson.
Peggy is survived by her family, Jule McLauchlin Connolly and husband Henry of Kernersville and Hugh Charles McLauchlin and wife Susan of Colfax, and grandchildren, Jennifer Connolly, Laura Connolly, Duncan McLauchlin, and Kristin McLauchlin.
The family will receive friends after the service, Friday, March 23, 2012 at River Landing at Sandy Ridge in Colfax.
