Lawrence Malloy “Frog” Everett


Mr. Lawrence Malloy “Frog” Everett, 91, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Monday June 24, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. A native of Caswell County, NC he was the son of the late Bernard Anderson and Mary Belle Webster Everett. Frog had worked with White’s Furniture Company in Mebane for 30 years. After his time with White’s Furniture, Frog joined the funeral profession in Mebane and worked with McClure Funeral Service for over 30 years serving the families he loved so much here in Mebane. Frog will be forever known for his honesty and his kindness throughout his life that was shown to others on a daily basis. He loved the people and the Town of Mebane with all of his heart. Frog was a member of Mebane United Methodist Church and he enjoyed his beach trips with his family, especially fishing at the beach. On November of this year, Frog and his wife Caroline Barker Everett would have been married for 70 years. Also surviving are his daughters, Judy Hall and husband Allan and Teresa E. Hodder, both of Mebane; grandchildren, John Hall, Jennifer Allred and husband Dwayne, Stephen Hodder, Nelson Fagan and Katherine Knicely and husband Anthony; great grandchildren, Mason R. Allred, Abby Hall and Riley Allred; sisters, Shirley “Jean” Jones, of Haw River, Rachel E. Monk and husband Larry, of Mebane and Lois Everett; and loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Robertson, Doris Everett, and Nancy E. Malone; brothers, Arnold Everett, James Houston Everett, Bernard Everett, and Jerry “Donald” Everett Sr. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday June 27, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be the Reverend Andrew B. Wood. Burial will follow in Oakwood. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215 or to the charity of one’s choice.

Caroline Barker Everett
MEBANE - Mrs. Caroline Barker Everett of Mebane, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Hospice home. A native of Caswell County, Mrs. Everett was the daughter of William Odell Barker and Ruby Yarbrough Barker, both deceased. Mrs. Everett worked in the hosiery industry, Warren Drug, and retired from the retail store Peaches & Cream. Caroline will be remembered as a woman who always put the needs of others before her own, expressing her love in a variety of ways. She loved doing yard work and tending to her flowers, cooking for everyone at the funeral home, and attending her church, Mebane United Methodist Church. Mrs. Everett had a place in her heart for all these things, but none surpassed the love she had for her family. She spent as much time as she could practicing being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than their trips toWhite Lake and the beach.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. “Frog” Everett, and her sister, Ester Perkins.
Caroline is survived by her children, Judy Hall (Allan), and Teresa Hodder, her grandchildren, JohnHall (Diana), JenniferHall Allred (Dwayne), StephenHodder (Courtney Riley), Nelson Fagan, Katherine Everett (CarlosMata), great-grandchildren, Mason Allred, Riley Allred, Abby Hall, her sisters, Louise Coley, Phyllis Barker (Van), Diane Yarbrough, her brothers, Alan Barker, Robert Barker (Doris), and Frank Barker (Linda), sister- in-laws, Rachel Monk, and Lois Everett, her adopted grandson, Jeff “Tucker” Lipscomb and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, beginning at 11:00AM, at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Judy and Allan Hall.
