Donald Wayne Lawrence, 63, of Mount Holly passed away February 5, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born February 23, 1957 in Randolph County, a son of the late Wade Boyles Lawrence and Mary Eloise Whitesell Lawrence.

Don held various management positions at Parkdale Mills for 40 years. First and foremost, Don loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed duck hunting, cooking BBQ, vacationing at SurfSide Beach and mountains with his family. He loved attending sporting events with his sons, his favorite teams were the Braves, the Panthers, and the Clemson Tigers. Don loved his dogs, Sadie, Oscar, Junior, and Simon. He loved spending time with friends and family and will be missed by many.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Zelda Denise Brotherton Lawrence; sons, Christian Wayne Lawrence and Zachary Scott Lawrence; sisters, Joyce McDowell (Nolan), and Vickie Renfrow; sister-in-law, Rachel Morrison (Todd); nieces Tonya Link (Ray), and Olivia Nesbitt (Bryson), and nephews Bobby McDowell (Karen) and Andrew Morrison (Summer).

The family will receive friends at The Pointe Church on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 4:00pm.

A funeral service will be held at The Pointe Church at 4:00 pm with Pastor Ray Hardee officiating. The service will be live streamed through The Pointe Church's facebook page. Committal will be private for the family at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro, NC.
