Mrs. Martin, age 87, of Reidsville, NC, died May 26, 2008, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, N.C.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and Dora Fuqua Martin and had lived in Rockingham County her entire life. She was a retired employee of Chase Bag Co. and also did upholstering and made draperies. A member of Cross Key Extension and Community Association , she was named mother of the year in 2006 by all the Extension and Community Associations in Rockingham County. She was of Baptist faith and attended Fairview Baptist Church.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Orman Martin; a brother, William Allen Martin; two sisters, Ila Mae Pettigrew and Ruth Martin Carroll. 470, Dora Dean Martin
