Clyde Lee Warren Jr.

NOVEMBER 20, 1930 ~ OCTOBER 7, 2019 (AGE 88)

Clyde Lee Warren Jr., 88, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2019 after 16 weeks of declining health. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Betty Overman Warren who survives.  He was born in Caswell County on November 20, 1930.  He was the son of the late Clyde Lee Warren Sr. and Nina Byrd Warren.  He was a retired farmer and former owner of C&J Utilities. He was formerly employed by Burlington Mills and Faulkner & Faulkner Masonry.  He was a charter member and trustee of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Burlington.  He loved riding the gator on the farm, seeing the crops come and go and enjoying the landscape.  He also loved to sit in the swing under the pine trees and in the shop for visitors to come by and talk about all the memorable years of his life.  He enjoyed family Christmas’s watching the opening of presents and seeing the excitement in the kids eyes.  Family time was precious to him.  He was a loving husband, Daddy, Paw Paw and Great Grandpa.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Overman Warren of the home, daughters; Joyce Gentry of Mebane, Jean Johnson (Randy) and Jeanette Shepherd (Eddie) of Burlington, sons; Jerry Warren (Nancy) of Burlington and James Warren (Annette) of Georgia, sister; Gladys Pope of Burlington, 15 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Richard and Floyd Warren and a sister Brona Eastwood.
A special thank you to ladies Kristi Stanley and Teresa Byrd for all the many hours of love and kindness shown to him during his illness.  A special thank you also to the Faucette Fire Department for helping during his illness.  Thanks to all the doctors and staff that helped also.
The family will receive friends on Thursday October 10, 2019 from 5-8 at McClure Funeral Service in Graham and at other times at the home.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday October 11, 2019 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Burlington.  Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  3, Clyde Lee Warren Jr.
