TROY - Mrs. Elaine Haywood Cagle, 69, of Rt. 3, Mt. Gilead, died Thursday, April 25, 1996, at her residence.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 1996, at Holly Mount Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mitchel Walker and the Rev. Hubert Hall. Burial will be at Holly Mount Baptist Church.
She was a native of Montgomery County, a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church and retired from McRae Shoe Company.
She is survived by her husband, Fulton Cagle of the home; daughter, Mrs. Fay Strider of Mt. Gilead; sons, Larry Cagle of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Gene Cagle of Burlington, Alvin Cagle of Asheboro; brother, Willie Lee Haywood of Apex; sisters, Mrs. Robert (Jeraline) Yarboro and Mrs. Nelson (Boots) Smith, both of Mt. Gilead, Mrs. Coite (Ozell) Parsons of Troy, Mrs. Bruce (Shirley) Morse of Greensboro, Mrs. Robert (Peggy) Smith of Pittsboro; grandson, Daniel Purdue; granddaughters, Shantel Cagle and Lona Marie Strider.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy.
