Gibsonville, NC Kevin Eugene Clapp, 47, of 804 Joyner Street died on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at his home.
He was a native of Guilford County and the son of the late Raymond Carson Clapp and Ruth Stewart Clapp who survives.
Kevin worked for his brother who owns Ray Clapp Backhoe. He was a tender hearted man who loved his family and nature. He was a proud grandfather having just received the news of his granddaughters arrival. Kevin will be missed by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Stewart Clapp of Gibsonville; his daughter, Jessica Clapp and his granddaughter, Abigail Josephine Clapp both of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Clapp Godwin and her husband, Earl of Elon, Bonnie Walker Land and her husband, Charles of Eden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry Everett Clapp, David Walker and his wife, Cindy and Raymond C. Clapp and his wife, Laurie all of Gibsonville; Nieces, Carrie Clapp of Burlington, Angel and Sherry Davis both of Gibsonville; Nephews, Johnny Walker of Altamahaw, Chad Clapp of Gibsonville, Correy Clapp of Elon and Brandon Flynn of Gibsonville; and his faithful companion, a Lab named Curly.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father and nephew, Christopher Chris Clapp.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Brick Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery by Rev.Tom E. Wright.. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Ray Clapp, 808 Joyner Street, Gibsonville, NC. Memorials may be made to a Care and Education Fund for Abigail Josephine Clapp, C/O Mary C. Godwin, 2059 Gerringer Mill Road, Elon, NC 27244.
