Temperance Kiser Hall Montgomery


BURLINGTON- Mrs. Temperance Delight Kiser Hall Montgomery, age 92, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health.
Born in Cabarrus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Parker Davis Kiser, Sr. and the late Flonnie Blanche Honeycutt Kiser and was married for over 39 years to Charles Lawrence Hall, Jr, who passed in 1986 and was later married to James Woodrow Montgomery, who passed in 2006. She retired after many years of employment in the textile industry and was a longtime member of Staley Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed square dancing and was involved in several local dance clubs.

Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her two sons, Ron Hall of Burlington and Jeffrey Hall and his wife, Brenda, of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters, Rosa Walker, Bertha Simpson and Blanche Moore; a brother, Sam Kiser, Sr.; and two step children, Woody Montgomery and Carol Talley. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; parents; a daughter, Donna Roney; great granddaughter, Amelia Grace Turner; sister, Virginia Smith; and a brother, Parker Kiser, Jr.
The family will be holding private services. Mrs. Montgomery will be available for viewing from 2:00 – 5:00 Saturday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Authoracare Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Staley Memorial Baptist Church, 1446 N. Graham-Hopedale Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.
