Mrs. Dorothy Ann Rigney Byerly, 76, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Byerly were held at 12 noon, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Hope River Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Guilford County to the late David and Gladys Cook Rigney. She was a faithful member of Hope River Church for her entire life. Dorothy was an insurance supervisor for Penn National Insurance Company. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and the best wife to her husband of 56 years. She is now reunited with her faithful four-legged companion, Alex.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Byerly of the home; daughter, Rhonda Byerly Adkins (Robert); sister, Marlene Byerly (Roby) and Betty McDowell; brother, Jerry Rigney (Susan) and 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Adkins (Louis), Jessica Adkins, Thomas Adkins and Robert Adkins, Jr.
