GREENSBORO - James A. Saunders died on Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Moses Cone Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Guilford Memorial Park.
James was born in Troy, N.C., the son of the late Samuel and Cynthia Blue Saunders. He was a machinist, working with both Newman's Machine and Gibb's Machine Shop until his retirement
Surviving are his wife Hazeline Moize Saunders; two stepdaughters, Cathy Berry of Whiteville, N.C. and Doris Norris of Chadbourn, N.C.; two sisters, Marie Riley of Rocky Point, N.C. and Doris Grimsley of Troy, N.C. Six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
