Wanda Cobb Pender, 79, of Huntersville, NC passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 9:32 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Barry Pender and the daughter of Roosevelt C. Cobb and Bertha Perry Cobb, both deceased. She was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. She was a devoted wife and mother who cared for her invalid son, Phillip, his entire life. Wanda was a devout Christian that attended Laurel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, June Loy of Burlington and Mary Ann Qualls of Troy; brother, Wade Cobb of Burlington; sister-in-law, Dinah Keyon of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Pender; two sisters, Edith Gilliam and Evelina Summers; and two brothers, Banard Cobb and David Cobb.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Jonathan Blankenship with the family receiving friends from 11:45 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. 261, Mrs Wanda Cobb Pender
