GRAHAM - Gladys Reid Minor, age 94, of Graham, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at theHospiceHome after an extended illness.
Gladys, a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker, enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time at the beach, family gatherings for the holidays, going to yard sales with her sisters and proudly spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael Minor and wife Barbara of Lynchburg, VA; Steven Minor and wife Danielle of Knightdale, NC; RonaldMinor and wife Christine of Burlington, NC; granddaughters, Bethany Jenkins and husband Weldon of Graham, NC; Brittany Schoolmeester and husband Patrick of Greensboro, NC; Alexandra Fisher and husband Hunter of Salisbury, NC; grandson, DominicMinor of Hickory, NC; step-grandson KevinMurray of Belmont, NC; and great-granddaughter Caroline Reece Fisher. She will be missed by many dear neighbors and friends who helped and comforted her in her last years and months.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, William L. and Lavinia N. Reid; husbandMelvin M. Minor; sisters, SarahWomack, MaryHodgin, Ann Thompson, Mildred Douglas, Artelia Sykes, Letha Browder and Delilah Ellis; brothers, Chester Reid, Bill Reid, Hermon Reid and Robert Reid.
Visitation will be held onMonday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Graham, with graveside service at 12:30 PM to follow at GrahamMemorial Park by PastorMarkMitchell. The family will receive friends after the service at her son RonaldMinor’s residence.
