January 20, 1944 ~ November 30, 2021 (age 77)
James Harry Long, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was the son of the late Julius Paul Long and Sallie Wright Long, and was married to Weeden Long for 57 years of the home.
Harry was retired from Cintas and Factory Motor Parts. He was a member of Kerr’s Baptist Church and Anderson Volunteer Fire Department. Harry enjoyed his family, community and antique cars. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Survivors other than his wife, Weeden Long inclide his daughters, Rita Lynn Simon and husband, Peter and Cheryl Lane Robertson and husband, Cary; grandchildren, Miranda Simon, Madison Robertson, James Simon and Brandon Robertson and brother, Donny Long.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 3, 2021 at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Paul Traywick. There will be a gathering and reception for family and friends following the service. The family will be at the residence at other times.
