BURLINGTON - Martha Jo Story, of Burlington, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday morning, July 30, 2020.
Martha was born on August 25, 1955 to the late Martha Clapp Story and Samuel W. Lee Story.
Martha is survived by her daughter Samantha Angelica Story, 27, of Winston-Salem; brother Samuel Story, wife Carol and Family. Martha was a native of Burlington, NC.
She was an avid participant in the Muscular Dystrophy Association Foundation. Martha worked at the Foundation for over 10 years before finally retiring in 2017. She did not let her retirement stop her from actively participating in MDA events. She was a devout follower of Christ and the Word of God.
A funeral will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, located at 207 Regency Executive Park Drive, Suite 170, Charlotte, NC 28217.
