BURLINGTON – Donald Reid Ellis, 79, passed away on October 27, 2020.
He was the husband of the late Clara Spicer Ellis and son of O.D. Ellis and Delilah Reid Ellis both deceased. After employment with Burlington Industries and Star Food Products for several years, he and his wife started C & D Coffee Shop in downtown Burlington. He also served in the Army National Guard.
Survivors include two daughters; Susan Ellis of Gibsonville and Sharon Fargis of Graham, stepson; Michael Pack of Chattanooga, TN, grandchildren; Dylan Shuttlesworth (Julia) and Alex Fargis, great grandchildren; Beckham and Christian Shuttlesworth. He was preceded in death by his wife and step-son, Fred Pack (Judy).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. The family will receive friends at the grave after the service is over.
