GRAHAM – Mrs. Carole Huey Stuckey, 78, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. A native of Alamance County, Carole is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gailes Stuckey. She was the daughter of the late Alton L. and Virgie I. Huey.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Huey Story. Carole was a graduate of Mebane High School and Burlington Business College and was employed at Huey’s restaurant in Mebane. She was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church.
A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, she is survived by her two children, Van Stuckey and wife Anna of Graham; Lisa Gantt and husband Steve of Ayden, NC. Her grandchildren include Michael Stuckey, Alex, Ally and Aaron Gantt and two step grandchildren, Connor and wife Natalie Rice and Colby Rice. One step greatgranddaughter, Evelyn Rice as well as a sister; Gaye Huey and brother; Gary
Huey.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 15th at 4 pm in the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home and Crematory in Burlington. A private burial will follow at a later time. The family will receive visitors at the home at other times.
Carole was a breast cancer survivor; memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
