A Guilford County native Donna was born November 13, 1958 the daughter of Elwood Apple and Betty Winfree Apple. She was a graduate of Northeast Guilford High School and employed for thirty one years by Guilford County Child Nutrition. Donna was a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church. She was a very talented pianist & organist. Donna played for numerous weddings and funerals over the years. At age twelve Donna started playing the piano at church and later on helped her father organize the Apple's Chapel Men's Chorus and served as pianist for twenty five years for the Men's Chours.
