Samuel Freemon Gwynn 


    ELON — Samuel Freemon Gwynn , 58, of 1079 Pagetown Road, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Reidsville and burial will follow in Gilliam’s Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
    A native of Caswell County, he was a son of the late Sam and Edna King Gwynn  and had lived in the Pagetown Community most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was an employee of Harrelson Logging Company. Freemon  was an avid outdoorsman and he guided horseback bird hunts in Ellerbe and in Oklahoma.
    Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Faye Boone Gwynn  of the home; a son, Jesse Gwynn  and wife, Susan, of Burlington; a brother, Pete Gwynn  of Elon; a sister, Margaret G. Massey and husband, Richard, of Elon; a granddaughter, Sadler Gwynn ; a niece, Sharon Hensley; a nephew, Randy Massey; and great-nieces, Emily and Victoria Hensley.
    The family will see friends from 7 ’til 9 this evening March 22, 2007, at Citty Funeral Home in Reidsville, and at other times, they will be at the residence.
