Robert A. Miles Jr.
MIDLOTHIAN, Va. — Robert A. Miles Jr. of Midlothian, Va., formerly from Gibsonville, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Robert , 55, is survived by his wife, Jeanne Miles , son, Jordan Ross Miles and fiancée Tracy Smith, daughter, Marguax Alexandre Miles , parents, Robert A. Miles , Sr. and Lucille Heath Miles of Gibsonville, sister, Judie Wood of Gibsonville and two nephews.
Robert was an engineering graduate of North Carolina State University, a master’s graduate of University of Richmond, and a management employee at Phillip Morris, USA where he served over 32 years including transfers to Munich, Germany and Concord, North Carolina.
He was a life-long member of Friedens Lutheran Church, and a former Volunteer Fireman with Fire District # 28. He was also active in the Historical District in Concord, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Friedens Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Delmar Chilton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A memorial service in Midlothian, Virginia will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Friedens Lutheran Church, 6001 N.C. Hwy 61 North, Gibsonville, N.C. 27249.
