Obituary for Roger Tickle
Roger Tickle, 39, passed away on March 8, 2021 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Maple Lawn Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Rick Church and Pastor Norman C. Cox officiating. Friends and family are welcome to come to Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, between 8:30am-5:00pm, to see Roger and sign the register book.
Roger was born on December 22, 1981 at Wesley Long Hospital and was raised in Bethany. He attended Rockingham County High School and later became an electrician and worked in construction. He loved spending time with his children, parents, and friends. Roger loved the outdoors and really enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, and fishing. His parents are proud that their son was an organ donor that he was able to help others after his passing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Harris Tickle and Callie Mae Cox; maternal grandparents, Donnie Akers Sr. and Mary Ellen Akers.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Hannah Cheyenne Tickle; son’s, Justice DeWayne Tickle and Jacob Harris Tickle; mother, Lisa A. Smith and husband Mark; father, Tony D. Tickle; aunts, Rhonda Tickle and Sylvia Tickle; uncles, Donnie Akers and wife Teresa, Ray Akers, Kenneth Akers and numerous other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320, to help his family during this difficult time.
