Bertie Elizabeth Taylor Hart


Bertie Elizabeth Taylor Hart (81), of Burlington passed away peacefully at her residence after 5 months of declining health on Monday, March 8th, 2021.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Kirby Hart and the daughter of the late Harry Lee Taylor and the late Margaret Lucille Gerringer Taylor. She retired from working at Lorillard Tobacco Company after 43 years of service and was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Jenkins and her husband Billy of Burlington; granddaughter, Crystal Fogleman and her husband Chad of Burlington; great-grandchildren, Cailyn Fogleman and Caleb Fogleman, both of Burlington; sisters-in-law, Shirley Taylor of Whitsett, NC, Shirley Hart of Goldston, NC and Ida Belle Smart of Gibsonville, NC; and beloved and loyal caregivers, Tina Regan and Mary Beasley. Mrs. Bertie had many cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors who she loved dearly.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Bobby Lee Taylor.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will greet friends immediately following the funeral service. The family will be at her residence at other times.

Bertie Elizabeth Taylor Hart (81), of Burlington passed away peacefully at her residence after 5 months of declining health on Monday, March 8th, 2021.
