December 11, 1952 ~ May 13, 2021 (age 68)

Burlington – Richard Lee Gammon, 68, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021.  He was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late Oscar William Gammon, Sr. and Dora Edith Shockley Gammon. Richard especially loved and adored his mother.
Richard retired as the owner and operator of a Home Improvement Business. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a member of Powerline Church of the Nazarene. 
Richard is survived by his son, Gregory “Greg” Glen Gammon; step children, Vincent Guthrie and Tonya Barham; grandchildren, Daniel, Samuel, Chrisitan Matthew Gammon and Gregory Gammon, Jr.; brother, Robert Lynn Gammon and wife, Jeri; sister, Marie Howe; sisters-in-law, Almeria and Denise Gammon; nephew, Lee Turlington and step mother, Faye Gammon
 He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Velva Gammon and Darlene Gammon; brother-in-law, William “Bud” Shively; brothers, Oscar William “Bill” Gammon, Jr., Elmer Walter “Pete” Gammon and Andrew Phillip “Phil” Gammon; sister, Ann Shively; grandparents, Walter Shephard Gammon and Dessie Strader Gammon; Elmer Shockley and Mary Ethel Bowman Shockley and several aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:00pm at Gammon Memorial Park Rev. Darrel Kroeze.
