Obituary Online notes for Sara HOSKINS
Sara Hoskins Sharpe, 93, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Jacobs Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2013, at New Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Sharpe was born on March 29, 1920, in Guilford County, to the late Benjamin H. Hoskins and Jenny Cummings Hoskins. She attended New Lebanon Christian Church and was retired from Gem Dandy, Inc. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Burke Knight Sharpe; brothers, Benjamin Hoskins, Jr., Robert Hoskins, Joseph Hoskins, and Richard Hoskins; sisters, Rebecca Hoskins and Eleanor Hoskins Akers; and infant grandson, Robert Fletcher Sharpe.

Survivors include sons, Robert Sharpe (Martha) of Madison, Richard "Rick" Sharpe (Patty) of Bethany, and Burke Sharpe, Jr. (Terri) of Greensboro; sisters, Mary Jenkins, Elizabeth Hoskins, and Margaret Cecil (Jack), all of Greensboro; grandchildren, Matt Sharpe (Lori), Jennifer Smith (Justin), Brian Sharpe, Hannah Sharpe, Benjamin "Ben" Sharpe, Shannon Knight, Amy Nelson (Richard), and Brett Knight; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Reid, Chloe Sharpe, Sadie Sharpe, Madelyn Smith, and Abigail Nelson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at New Lebanon Christian Church.

Sara's family asks that everyone spend time with their own families during this Thanksgiving holiday and enjoy making memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hands of God Ministry, PO Box 358, Madison, NC or to the charity of the donor's choice.

The family of Mrs. Sharpe would like to express their appreciation to the staff and medical personnel of Jacobs Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care, compassion, and patience shown to her.
