Timothy Byron Edwards, 51, of 3962 Alamance Road, Burlington, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. After a period of breathing problems, his lungs failed to produce needed oxygen.
Tim was a very gentle, kind, and humble person. He always had a smile. He loved the Lord Jesus very much and is with Him now.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Eldridge Alexander "Jeep" Edwards and Ruby Hussey Edwards, who survives. He was formerly employed by Sears and attended Burlington Assembly of God.
In addition to his mother, survivors include one son, Stephen Edwards of Burlington; two brothers, Danny K. Edwards and wife, Judy, of Burlington and Eddie S. Edwards and wife, Deby, of Burlington; a special cousin, Joretta Beasley of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted at Burlington Assembly of God on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Howard Thompson. Pallbearers were Lendon Scott, Jimmy Scott, Scott Beasley, Brian Edwards, Billy Slaughter, and Noel Manley. Burial was at Friendship United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family received friends at Burlington Assembly of God on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service, and at other times they were at the residence of Joretta Beasley, 2971 Elder Lane, Village of Alamance, N.C.
Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service, Burlington was in charge of arrangements.
