William Hornbuckle was born about 1719 in Overwarrton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia. He was the son of Richard H. Hornbuckle. His wife’s name is not known. He had three sons, Thomas, b. 1740, Solomon, b. 1745 & William Lucullus, b. 1748. All three sons moved to Caswell and Rockingham County North Carolina between 1785 and 1790.
