Catherine Lucille Dinwiddie, 86, of Denton, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. She was born on October 19, 1925 in Topeka, KS to Oral Lee Hite and Jessie Bagley Hite.She married Emit Dinwiddie on April 30, 1944 in Wichita, KS. She was a member of the Willowwood Nazarene Church in Denton and was a loving wife and mother.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 6-7:30 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Willowwood Nazarene Church, 1513 Willowwood St., Denton, TX 76205 with Rev. Bruce Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the National Diabetic Association or Willowwood Nazarene Church.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 67 years, Emit; daughters, Linda Dinwiddie Reed of Crowley, TX and Kayla Dinwiddie Steiner of Denton, TX; sons, Richard Dinwiddie of Denton, TX and David Dinwiddie of Albuquerque, TX; brother, Bob Hite; 7 grandchildren, Jeff and Ben McCurry, Tara Dinwiddie Field, Diana Dinwiddie Bloomquist, and Michael, Kaitlyn, and Ryan Steiner; and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
