Burlington – Emmie Henry Moore Allred, 100, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007 at White Oak Manor.

She was born in Wedowee, Alabama and moved to Burlington in 1930.

She retired from Tower Hosiery Mills after 42 years of service.

She was a charter member of East Burlington Church of God, now Harvest Hills Church. She taught the Young Boys Sunday School Class for 30 years.

She is survived by her son, Emmit Truett Moore, Sr. and wife Barbara of Graham; 3 grandsons, Emmit Moore, Jr., Kelly Moore and David Moore, all of Graham; 4 granddaughters, Teri Ann Crouse of Graham, Luellen Moser of Burlington, Melissa Mann and Sandra Moore, both of Graham; and a half-sister, Christine Workman of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by both her husbands, Truman Moore and Eddie Allred; son, James David Moore; parents, Jesse and Lizzie Cummings Henry; stepmother, Lelah Henry; three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Harvest Hills Church by Dr. Russell Morris with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
