Roger Stutts Obituary
Roger Dale Stutts 77, of Burlington, NC has stepped from time into eternity on July 27, 2024, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Roger graduated from Western High School in 1965, Vietnam Veteran serving 1966-1968 with the 6th/77th Artillery. He retired as a General Contractor, being the owner of Roger Stutts Construction Company for 46 years building many homes and whole house renovations while winning the Times-News Readers Choice Awards for numerous consecutive years for best builder. Roger was a Past President of the Alamance-Caswell Homebuilder’s Association, A twice Past Master of the Bula Lodge #409 AF & AM in Burlington and was a member of the Thomas M. Holt Lodge #492 AF & AM in Graham. Roger enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling many miles across the country.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Tracey Stutts Beckom (Gary Garrison); stepdaughters, Jennifer Burton Brannock (Brian) and Sarah Burton Snyder (Phillip).
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, James Monroe Stutts and Carlene Bradshaw Stutts; a loving daughter, Robin Leigh Stutts; and a brother, James Michael Stutts.
Those left to cherish his memories, a brother, Gregory Lynn Stutts (Brenda); a sister, Gloria Dawn Stutts (Chet); four grandchildren, Jefferson Lee Brannock, Mattie Margaret Brannock, Presley Elizabeth Snyder, and Porter Lea Snyder.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday August 3, 2024, with Military Honors at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Brian Biggers, Pastor Wade Rice, Mr. Gene Kimrey and Pastor Melody McBride presiding. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date.
The family request the Members of the American Legion Post 63 and the Thomas M. Holt Lodge #492 be Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital at https://www.shrinerschildrens.org
