Clarice Bateman Wyatte
MEBANE, NC - Clarice Bateman Wyatte, 98, passed away at the Authora Care Hospice Home on Wednesday 9/29/2021.
A native of Rockingham County, she was the wife of the late Walter B. Wyatte, Sr. and the daughter of John B. Bateman and Berta Dawson Bateman, both deceased.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Carol Wyatte and 12 siblings.
Clarice retired fromAnnedeenHosiery and later worked for the Alamance-Burlington School Systemin the cafeteria. She was a member of Long’s Chapel Christian Church. In her spare time, she loved working in her yard, reading, traveling at a moment’s notice and spending time with her grandchildren and dogs.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia “Pat” Byrd and her husband, Bill, of Greensboro; a son, Walter Banks Wyatte, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Mebane; 4 grandchildren, Tammy Wyatte Menches and husband Karl, of Cary, Teresa Wyatte Mansfield and husband, Jason, of Mebane, Steve Byrd and his wife, Dena, of Greensboro, Dawn Flantos and husband, Chris, of Burlington and 9 great grandchildren.
